The Eucalyptus is not an original tree from our land, it was imported from Australia in one of Captain Cook's journeys in 1774.
In Galicia, the community of Eucalyptus has grown so much that is ruining the biodiversity because it affects the soil and land owners invest in plantations as selling the trees is quite profitable.
Since 2018, a movement started to push the government and land owner to stop the plantations and "de-eucalyptise" Galicia.
